New Branding: Here to Stay?

Well I think I may have something here that I enjoy enough to actually get something printed on a business card. I have been messing with this thing for a few months and I have yet to be this happy with the others...So i think that is a good sign. I guess it could still change but for now I like it. Let me know opinions if anyone has something to say on the matter.

Spot Illustrations: Taken to far...

This is am assignment that we got a week or two ago in Styles and Concepts. We were given several article summaries and we were told to pick two of them and do a spot illustration for the publication.

The first is a vignette of Jesse James standing back to back with his brother.

The second illustration is a vignette of Alexander Hamilton. This article covered Aaron Burr and his escapades. One of which was the murder of Alexander Hamilton in a dule.

Cover For Columbus Alive!

Finally I got my hands on an issue of the December Alive! Magazine. Thankfully Cassandra's friend Chelsea grabbed me up a few copies. Close call...I was in Cincinnati when the issue came out.

Update: A Winter Break Dump...

The first of these wonderful images is my original piece for break. The Fisherman, hunting this epic giant goldfish...Weird yeah, but it was just something interesting to do. It has been fun. Keep in mind the contrast is a bit heavy...

These next few are a couple of Harry Potter paintings I have been cranking out for a friend of a friend. He is a Hardcore fan with a "Collection Room" project, and has requested these as original art to hang on the walls. My whole goal with these was to create a classic rustic painting look. I have one more to do of the school. I will add that later, when it is finished.

Finals Are Finished

These are the Finals for my two illustration classes this semester. And now that these are done, its time to start designing www.alexlyon.com! SURPRISE!!!
That is just one of several projects coming up in the month to follow. Should be fun.

Christmas Alive!

This is the cover of the Christmas issue of Columbus Alive Magazine. I just added the alive logo as a place holder, to give you a better idea of how it would look published.
